Ten is an interesting number and there are many reasons why. For one, it's the easiest number to multiply. Just tack on a zero, and SHAZAM! you're done. If all numbers were that easy, Math would be lots more fun. When most of us take off our shoes, we have ten little toes. And some of you use all ten of your fingers when you pick your nose. The metric system is all based on ten (Oh don't worry, I'm not going through all that again!) Our entire number system uses ten as the base. If you look carefully, you'll see tens all over the place! I'll let you in on a secret, ten is very important in my life. It was in the tenth month I was both born and married my wife. Speaking of my wife, you should see her go when "Polka Polka 10-10" is on the radio! I could take this one step further, but you might just go berserk If I only gave you ten minutes to do your Morning Work! Of course, where this is leading, you probably already know. Because when it comes to this school year, there are ten days left to go! |
