What is it about the number 12? It even has its own nickname.

Without our old friend "the dozen," life just wouldn't be the same.

If you buy doughnuts, you buy a dozen. Did anyone do that, by the way?

A cruller with my coffee sounds really good today!

Eggs also come in dozens. I wonder who came up with that? And when?

Do you suppose anyone bothered to consult with the hen?

Whenever I buy soda, it's a 12-pack, or twenty-four,

which is a multiple of twelve (finally, something you can use Math for!)

When I played golf with Mr. Helmkamp, I lost several balls out of bounds.

I had to buy another box of twelve to prepare for my next round.

While you do your Morning Work, think about the old "one and two."

Because today this number is quite significant to you.

As you plug away at all your work, there's one thing you should know,

the school year end is approaching; there are 12 days left to go!
