Monday 3/12/2007

There was a faculty meeting this morning. My presence was required.

And after changing my clocks an hour ahead, I am a little bit tired.

With Monday Morning Meetings, and tired teachers, it can be seen,

things are back to normal, here at Village Green.

Your Morning Work is right here for you.

As comfortable as an old, worn shoe.

And other old friends you may have missed,

like Reading Centers and your Spelling List.

We finally return to normalcy; our regular routine.

Everything is calm and quiet. All are happy and serene.

But wait, I said NORMAL. That doesn't sound normal, at all, to me.

Who is kidding who here? We ALL know how it will be.

You'll start out nice and quiet, then slowly things will turn.

You will start to get real loud, and I'll start my slow burn.

Then, I'll yell, and you'll get mad (at least four of you will start to pout).

You'll go from "happy to be here" to "waiting to get out."

I'll give you lots of homework, most of which you will not do.

And the next morning, when I find out, I'll again scold you.

And the cycle will continue. How much can I take?

Hopefully, at least two weeks, because then we have Spring Break!
