Despite near-constant grumpiness, there are some things I enjoy. For example, scolding all the little girls and boys. Giving homework - now THAT'S some fun. And taking recess away. Giving students extra work, when they think they're going to play. When the kids first arrive, and they want to talk and visit, I like to give them Morning Work (that's not cruel, is it?). Giving them tests brings a smile to my face and a big frown to theirs. Especially surprise quizzes. It's funny seeing the blank stares! Today, I get to have some more fun. You better hope your parents are good sports. Because today, I am sending home, another progress report. OK, NOW you're worried. Maybe a slight touch of fear. When you get home, you can sniffle and sob, and maybe work up a tear. And tomorrow when you return to school, your problems still won't be done. Because you never know what I'll come up with to try to have me some FUN! |
