Like the aroma of my brewing coffee, my good mood permeates the room.

I'm feeling GREAT this morning. There is no sign of gloom.

There wasn't very much traffic and every light was green.

It was the smoothest drive to work that I have ever seen!

I found 4 quarters in the parking lot, just sitting there all alone.

(If I can find 1,996 more, I can buy that Apple phone!)

Yes, things were looking pretty good. Happiness filled the air.

And then it hit me, like a ton of bricks, as I plopped down in my chair. . .

Students! Pretty soon they would show up and start messing with my day.

I think they do it on purpose, based on what they do and say!

Someone won't have their homework. But they'll have some weird excuse.

"My Mom didn't put it in my book bag." "My little sister covered it with juice!"

A PDA will not be charged. A book will not be found.

The girls will start arguing. The boys will act like clowns.

Someone won't do their Morning Work. They either didn't know or they forgot.

And shortly after 8:15, my good mood will be shot.

By 8:30, the coffee is getting cold, and I'll start to be a grump.

I'll start yelling at the kids, just to see if they will jump.

And they will try to bug me, just to try to make me holler.

It's only 8, and it has begun . . . I already lost the dollar!
