Many different stories appeared in last night's news reports.

Good and bad, happy and sad, information of all sorts.

Apple has an iPhone (which really looks quite cool).

Imagine using your phone to do Morning Work, when you're not in school!

Of course, there was news about Iraq and arguing in Washington D.C..

Florida won the championship, by beating THE Ohio State University.

When the TV News was over and the newspaper was all read,

I breathed a sigh of relief and slowly raised my head.

There was no community outrage, the stock market did not crash.

People did not frantically hoard gold and unload all their cash.

So yesterday, when the daily poem and Morning Work were not there,

apparently, the rest of the world just didn't seem to care!

So the Earth continued to revolve, folks did not remove their money from the banks.

All is well, except for one small thing; none of you said "Thanks!"

But, maybe you were NOT thankful. In fact, I'll bet you really were upset.

So in tomorrow's paper will be the most startling news story yet.

Imagine everyone's surprise, when the headlines state;

"Teacher Gives a Ton of Work! Students Think It's Great!"
