Today, Ill start covering up the walls, because no posters can be seen while you're taking the FCAT tests. But what color? Blue? Maybe green? I think that maybe I'll pick white as my wall-covering solution. Of course our classroom won't look the same (more like a mental institution). There will be no Math clues on the walls, no signs helping you with fractions. I can't have banners with helpful hints about alliteration or contractions. You will not see your normal class. It will be a stark, blank room instead. I'm not sure, but I MAY have to wear a paper bag over my head, just in case you find assistance in my sour expressions. ( I KNOW you would like not seeing MY ugly mug during your test sessions)! It's all OK. I just don't want you to think our room's been wrecked. Besides, you don't need any help to get the questions correct. You've prepared with Morning Work, and other tasks, all year. You should be filled with confidence (I know I am) not fear. If you do the very best you can, you can hold you head up and be proud. And when I take the bag off my face, try not to scream too loud!
