I sit in the room and it's quiet. The chairs and desks are all stacked.

Soon my reverie will be broken and all of the class will be back.

You'll come in and do your Morning Work (after being told once or twice).

The room will soon be noisy and loud, but for now, it's actually quite nice.

The chairs will come down, the books will be dropped, the pencils will have to be ground

to a fine point. Which will take quite a while. And that sharpener makes such a sound!

How can I combat this cacophonous din? It's nearly as bad as a train!

Sometimes I think you make all this noise just to drive me insane!

I wonder if the school board would understand, or would they think it a bit odd,

if I taught the class, for most of the day, using the headphones from my iPod?
