I hope you have recovered from our day with the Mets.

One D.A.R.E. officer told me it was the best one yet!

But, after watching you, there's some things I need to explain.

For example many of you don't know it was a baseball game!

While you were eating hot dogs, cotton candy, and Italian ice.

The Mets were winning! The game was pretty nice.

During your nachos and soda binge, the Mets were pulling through.

Could it be they were winning on account of you?

While you were there eating popcorn and buying souvenirs.

The Cardinals were falling back amidst the other people's cheers.

But a funny thing happened, after you left for the day.

By the time the game was over, the Mets lead had gone away.

Apparently because you were not there buying junk, despite the cost,

by the time the game was over, the St. Lucie Mets had lost.

So while you do your Morning Work and you think it makes no sense,

remember that everything you do makes a difference!
