I am deeply troubled this morning. I'm beginning to see a trend.

You behavior is starting to go downhill and trust me, it better end.

I know, now that FCAT is over, and you've already had your Spring Break,

that many of you think your year is done. Well, surprise! That's a mistake.

We've had problems in the cafeteria. In the morning and at lunch.

Which I find quite surprising; you're normally not a rowdy bunch.

Other teachers have complained about you, about behavior and lack of respect.

I believe it's early middle schoool attitude I detect.

Well, I have a news flash for you; please do not forget.

You MAY be going to middle school, but you're not there yet!

You are STILL a member of MY class, and you have a job to do.

If you shirk your responsibilities, then I will deal with you.

And you won't like it one little bit. Quite frankly, nor will I.

I'm not sure we can turn this back around, but we're going to try.

Do your homework, every day. Behave, and not JUST in this room.

Be respectful towards adults, and each other. You know the right thing to do.

You have a little over six weeks left to go. Let's do things the right way.

If you do, things will be pleasant. You may even regret having to go away!

Even I know that that's a stretch, but we can do better if we try.

So leave your bad attitude outside, and if you're lucky, so will I.
