Spelling tests and Reading tests and you're not done with the Benchmarks, yet!

You didn't think that the last nine weeks would be easier did you?

After all, if there were no tests, what would you all do?

I know kids don't like to read, watch TV, or play ball.

Video games are boring and kids hate going to the mall.

There's nothing worse in a child's life than talking on the phone

and visiting friends? Oh, no way! They would rather be studying, alone.

As you can see, tests are designed with your interests in mind.

Anyone that can't see that, really must be blind!

So, after you do your Morning Work , study your Spelling for a while.

And when you think about tests, you may want to to smile.

Because as I'm working late at night dreaming up tests for you to do,

for each weird little question, I'm only thinking of you!
