Play Homeworkopoly this morning (if you turned your homework in).

If not, you had better get to work and get it in the bin!

The sub didn't give you homework, because you were as nice as you can be.

But, while that may work for a sub, it doesn't sound like me!

I like to give out homework. It always makes me grin

when I see the look on your face as others turn theirs in

and you're not done. Or you forgot. I see the beads of sweat

as you decide if I'll believe that it was eaten by your pet!

But, I must be honest, as funny as that can be,

lately your excuses seem a little lame to me.

It's just more of the same old thing, no creativity or pizzazz!

Remember, if you're wondering if Mr Mac has heard it before, believe me, yes he has!

So as we finish up this year, please give me a break;

when you're coming up with excuses, create the best one you can make.

You may want to try to make up a REALLY great excuse when your Morning Work is done.

Because when your parents see report cards tonight, you're gonna' need a good one!
