On Monday, it was Labor Day, so you were not here.

On Tuesday, you learned to evacuate the bus and get out with no fear.

And let's not forget your D.A.R.E. class. That was Tuesday, too.

It was so darn confusing, I didn't get your folders out to you!

On Wednesday: teacher training for a couple hours after school.

But the trainers never did show up! (which wasn't very cool).

Thursday we had WOW day, and the mixed-up schedule that it brought.

Which brings us up to Friday. A normal day - or so I thought!

Normal? I don't think so. Unless, somehow, normal is defined

as unusual or different. But it's not. (unless I've lost my mind).

Today is far from normal. We're doing lots of different things.

Later, Mr. Mac won't be in class (and all the students sing

"Hooray! We're finally rid of him!") But wait! Not so fast. . .

He'll only be gone for a little while and then he'll be back in class.

Mr. Mac's return will bring you down and fill your soul with gloom.

But your lives will perk back up when your grandparents reach the room!

As you can see, we've had a week that is a little strange.

But that's OK there's nothing bad at all with a little change.

As long as there's a touchstone. Something on which you can rely.

It's important to have SOMETHING you can count on, that I won't deny.

What do you have, that's always there? It's reliable and it's true.

C'mon! Go ahead! Say it! Here's MORNING WORK FOR YOU!

That old stand by Grammar Giggles. Morning Math, your old buddy.

'Cause no matter how the schedule changes, Mr. Mac will make you study!
