Many students have wondered why Mr. Mac acts this way.

Well, I'm not sure if I should do this, but I'll tell you why today.

Most people's behavior is due to the childhood that they had.

I'm the same, so if I act a bit weird, just blame my Mom and Dad!

They fed us candy bars for breakfast. Every single day.

All my teeth had fallen out before my tenth birthday!

They made the kids all walk to school, but we didn't live that far,

so they would drive us 15 miles out of town and push us out of the car.

We couldn't do our homework, they made us watch TV!

If I worried that the teacher would yell, Mom would reply "Not at me!"

They made us stay up late at night, pumping scary movies into our heads.

We were given wood, hammers, and nails and told to make our beds.

My parents live too many miles away now, but I can hear Dad yell from there

When he sees this picture (just below) showing him in his underwear!

I don't believe it! My Dad is a hacker! He has tampered with my site.

Again I've been outsmarted. I guess I should tell the story right.

It's true I am the way I am because of Mom and Dad.

But everyone should be so lucky to have the childhood that I had.

My Mom and Dad were pretty good to all four of their kids.

I'm glad they didn't sell me to the circus! (although at times I bet they wish they did!)

Here's a picture of Mom and I (I believe she's trying to explain

that my siblings were only teasing me, and I won't go down the tub drain)!

You see, my childhood wasn't perfect, there were troubles that I'd seen

but they were all because of Laurie, Tom and Coleen.

So what does all this have to do with you, the students in fifth grade?

Not a thing. But here's the Grammar Giggles that I made.

And Morning Math is here as well. You have a job to do.

And be glad I'm making up stories about my folks instead of making them up about you!
