I haven't heard much from you, about your "Beat the Teacher" themes.

Maybe you're not interested (at least that's how it seems)

But, I have a way to motivate you, even if you're not.

In order to accomplish this, I'll sweeten up the pot.

I'll give you each two tickets for every little ditty!

And I'll give you each three more, if you'll sing real pretty!

And because I know your awfully shy, I'll throw you dogs this bone;

You can even have a partner. You don't have to sing alone!

So when Grammar Giggles and Morning Math are finally complete,

Write us a new theme song, with a snappy, catchy beat.

Here's another example. You can use it as a guide.

But, I won't sing to you. You needn't run and hide.

(sung to the tune of "Secret Agent Man ")

There's a game we like to play on Fridays.

You can win a ticket in one of two ways.

If the question on the card, for the teacher is too hard

The writer of the question is the winner.

Beat the Teacher Game, Beat the Teacher Game.

If he doesn't know the answer, I hope he calls my name.

There's another way that you can win;

If you know the answer that stumped him.

Just put your hand up in the air

So the writer knows you're there.

If they call on you, and you're right, you're the winner.

Beat the Teacher Game, Beat the Teacher Game.

If he doesn't know the answer, I hope he calls my name.

So everyone - Good Luck - start writing questions.

You can take them from any classroom lesson.

And if you want to sing,

Your efforts, they will bring

you some more tickets for the auction.

Beat the Teacher Game, Beat the Teacher Game.

If he doesn't know the answer, I hope he calls my name.
