Students pumped full of sugar, oh boy! It's every teacher's dream!

They didn't prepare us in college, for the day after Halloween!

Half the class cannot stay still; they sit in their chairs and vibrate.

The other half look very strange as their eyes, individually, rotate.

They all have to tell their stories, at length. Their words come in a flood.

It's a wonder they're alive at all, with chocolate and caramel for blood!

But then again, it's possible they won't be wired at all.

They may be starting to come back down; THAT will be a ball.

Droopy eyes and stifled yawns. The attention span of a gnat!

The "THUD" of a head hitting the desk (I actually rather enjoy that!)

From one extreme to the other, teachers have all kinds of problems to fight.

All because, one night a year, children go out in the night

searching out treats and candies and other goodies to eat.

Well, I figured out how to combat this. I have one last Halloween treat.

This treat has no sugar or chocolate! It may even be healthy! It's true!

Until your blood sugar levels return to normal, its Morning Math and Grammar Giggles for you.
