Well, how 'bout that! Five days gone! One hundred seventy-five left to go.

And you've already taken three benchmark tests to find out just what you know.

That's a lot of work in just one week. Imagine, if you will,

how much you'll do in the next thirty-six. Doesn't THAT give you a thrill?

Does goose flesh form on your arms and legs? Does an icy chill run up your spine

when you think about all the devious things Mr. Mac may have in mind?

Will the Math get harder and harder? Will Science get tougher too?

Will Mr. Mac every yell again? I think he's been suspiciously silent, don't you?

Will we write during our Social Studies? Will we read some novels in class?

What kind of grades must I try to get in order for me to pass?

All of these questions I'll answer. I'm sure you probably have more!

For now, all I'll say is it will all be OK, but I do have surprises in store.

But there is one thing you can count on. One thing that will always be there.

As sure as the sun in the morning. As plain as the gray in my hair.

What thing can you rely on? Why, some would think it a "perk."

As sure as Yellowstone's Old Faithful, you'll always have Morning Work!

So, get going on Grammar Giggles. Peruse the Science page, too.

And don't freak out about the rest of the year. We haven't even started week 2!
