Less than two weeks left in this school year! Only nine school days, you know.

After today, one more Tuesday. Then it's off vacationing you go.

There's many ways to look at it: How many hours or weeks or days?

Or how many minutes or seconds? It can be figured in so many ways!

How many more tests to take? How many things to Read?

How many more Math problems? How many trips to PE?

How many more Writing prompts? How many more Spelling lists?

How many more recesses? (Not many, if bad behavior persists!)

How many more Science chapters? How many more auction items to sell?

How many more times will we make Mr. Mac stop what he's doing and yell?

Oh, so many questions! All having to do with time.

I have a little project for you, after you finish my rhyme.

Calculate the number of hours, starting with today,

before the school year's over, and you go away.

It's strictly a bonus problem, and there is a small reward.

Wait until your other work's done and you're starting to get bored.

One ticket for the number of hours, three for the minutes to go.

Five tickets for the number of seconds (your work you have to show).

The first person to get each answer, correctly, wins. No calculators and no tricks.

While you're racing to solve the problem, try to ignore the clock's constant tick.

How much time in school is left? It's a problem you can crack.

Then we'll figure how much time is left before you come back!
