Holy Moly! It's cold outside, but inside our room it's not. What could be keeping the class this warm? Why it's the Morning Work you've got! Let's use the Reading and the Language to chase away the frigid air. Where's all that heat coming from? Why, they're Writing over there. Science will warm the cockles of your heart. Math will warm your toes. (if you're not sure what "cockles" are - your dictionary knows!) That phrase is an idiom. We'll talk about them later. For now, do your Social Studies, you'll be as warm as the equator. Work hard my chilly little friends and keep yourselves real warm. And know that no matter how cold it is, we'll do it again tomorrow morn ing. |
