Tuesday 02/07/2006

A typical Tuesday morning, in a typical Florida town.

The children are all smiling, nowhere is a frown.

The pencils are all sharpened, as is every little brain.

Why is everybody happy? It's FCAT Writes again!

Some children are fearful, full of angst and woe.

But, Mr Mac's kids are cheerful. It's time to show off what they know.

No one needs to worry, not about some little test.

Just read the prompt, take your time, and do your very best.

You are prepared. You're ready. Relax and have some fun.

Forty-five minutes later, it's over and you're done.

You might be worried: I'm not. With your writing I'm enthralled.

So get that six and in a few weeks, you'll shave my lumpy head bald.
