It's "Take Your Child to Work Day." and some of us aren't here. While they're gone, we'll have some fun! (and all the students cheer). We'll play games and we'll goof off. We'll divide up all their stuff. If they don't like it when they get back, well isn't that just tough! We'll play soccer in the classroom. Eat candy all day long. We'll watch cartoons and run in halls. We'll do everything that's wrong! Everyone that IS here, gets 50 tickets each! It will be utter chaos - you won't learn and I won't teach. But wait! That's not fair to all of you. You're not here to goof around. You're serious about education; and I can't let you down! How can I turn this all around, now that I've lost my way? Have no fear, Morning Work is here! Morning Work will save the day! Practice all your Spelling. Young Authors' books are due. I've got Science, Math and Reading. I've got Social Studies, too. And to all those students who are not here, who went to work today, Although we still had schoolwork, we DID go out and play! |
